What is Activa Thyro Advanced Thyroid Health Mushroom Plus Supplement?
Advanced Thyroid Health Mushroom Plus Supplement is our unusually formulated supplement under the review magnifying glass today. The thyroid needs iodine to function and create it’s T3 and T4 hormones and unlike other formulations, Activa Thyro has included phyto-based iodine, or iodine from plant sources.
The Thyroid stimulates hormonal functions that regulate your metabolism, your heart rate, temperature control and more. As such, the thyroid is integral to many aspects of normal body working that we often take for granted. You may experience rapid weight gain, weight loss, fatigue, slow metabolism, irregular heartbeat and mood swings if this gland is not working correctly. Often, you’ll also experience decreased vitality and slower cognition, whether your thyroid is over or underactive. Many people find that western conventional medicine does not treat the thyroid as well as they would like due to it being such as sensitive gland – it is difficult to get the right combination of interventions at the correct dosage. As a result, a more natural regulation of the thyroid is being increasingly preferred.

Firstly, why mushrooms? The thyroid needs iodine to function and one of the highest concentrations of plant iodine comes from mushrooms. The thyroid takes the iodine and
combines it with the amino acid, tyrosine. This iodine/tyrosine mixture is then converted into the two thyroid hormones, T3 and T4. The herbal blend provides the thyroid with iodine, and the amino acid Tyrosine, that your body uses to manufacture the thyroid hormone. It also has antioxidant properties which help slow down thyroid degeneration and clear the body as well as this gland of residual toxins, to help restore it to optimal functioning.
The rest of the ingredients are a good combination of regular iodine and amino acid sources as one would expect. In addition, Guggulipid and bladderwrack help regulate metabolism and also lift mood and vitality levels, along with guarana and ashwagandha, or Indian Ginseng.
Dosage
Take two capsules per day with water and food or as directed by a health practitioner. It is always advisable to consult your doctor before beginning on any supplementary programme. This means a bottle of 90 capsules lasts for about 6 weeks.
What Is The Cost?
One bottle, a six-week supply, retails for $39.95 on the Activa Thyro online shop. There do not appear to be discounts for buying more than one bottle.
Manufacturer’s Guarantee
A 60-day money-back guarantee is touted as being in place by Activa Thyro but at this stage it is a bit tenuous, because despite our research we could not find any details on the policy. There is a dedicated service desk though. However, transparent handling of guarantees by manufacturers is always preferred. Can you return used and unopened bottles? This is one of the questions we are unable to answer as a result.
Our Final Review of Activa Thyro Advanced Thyroid Health Mushroom Plus
The formulation is quite novel as it draws on plant sources of iodine in the form of mushrooms, whereas traditionally kelp and bladderwrack are what make the cut in thyroid supplements. There is advanced support for mental and physical vitality which you are likely to be lacking give any thyroid deficiency. This is in the form of guarana and forskolin among others, with the latter being particularly well-known for boosting metabolism.
The product is a bit more expensive than others but we can’t say that those others offer a similar formulation (mushroom-extracted iodine). It is good to note though also that despite the many iodine sources being included the product has not exceeded the recommended 150 mcg limit, as this is potentially detrimental to thyroid health. There are only a handful of consumer reviews on the Activa website and we can’t find any independent consumer reviews from verified buyers at all. Therefore, although this looks like a novel but sensible formula, it is not possible to say what the actual effect of this product is likely to be in practise.
