What is Ultimate Nutrition Arginine Power?

In this review of Ultimate Nutrition Arginine Power, we see that this formulation of Arginine was designed to be used as a pre-workout dietary supplement. We see that the manufacturer claims that its pure form of L-Arginine produces Nitric Oxide when it is metabolized, and Nitric Oxide is then utilized by the body for increased blood and oxygen supply. Ultimately, this product aims to boost recovery, increase performance and heighten mental focus and muscle coordination for improved performance.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains 800 mg of L-Arginine.

This is an amino-acid which is responsible for producing Nitric Oxide when synthesized in the digestive tract. When Nitric Oxide is released, testosterone spikes, blood vessels become dilated and oxygen is rushed to the heart, fuelling it and therefore enabling the body to operate at optimum performance, increased endurance and boosted energy. We wonder why the manufacturer excluded powerful ingredients from their supplement, such as L-Citrulline, Beetroot Extract, Pine Bark Extract or Quercetin. Most leading brands strengthen their blend by adding these key ingredients as they are scientifically proven to reduce muscle fatigue, increase blood flow, quicken recovery and they all help increase Nitric Oxide production.

Other Ingredients:

  • Magnesium Stearate
  • Di-calcium Phosphate
  • Cellulose
  • Gelatin

Unfortunately, every single ingredient on this list is to the manufacturer’s detriment. Magnesium Stearate is definitely a matter of concern as it is used as a lubricant  to avoid the capsules sticking to the manufacturing machinery. This ingredients might also pose a threat for contamination, unless third party tested.

Furthermore, we are also concerned about the use of Gelatin and Cellulose, as Cellulose is mentioned separately from the active ingredients list, we therefore assume it is used for the capsule. Gelatin and Cellulose are both derived from animals and we conclude that this product is not eco-friendly. Lastly, there is an additive by the name of Di-potassium Phosphate which may hinder the effectiveness of L-arginine as a whole.

Dosage

The dosage recommendations as per the manufacturer’s website is a dosage of 1 – 2 capsules per day, 30 minutes prior to exercise. No specific time of day was recommended.

What is the Cost?

A container of 100 capsules is sold at local retail stores as well as online, through third-party retailers and directly off of the manufacturer’s website at a price of $28.95

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

After thorough research, we were, unfortunately, unable to find any information regarding a guarantee or refund policy.

Our Final Review of Ultimate Nutrition Arginine Power

We like that there are some good reviews about the product, we also appreciate that this product is available at local stores as well as online. Furthermore, we have to mention a serious disadvantage which we encountered about Ultimate Nutrition Arginine Power. Although the product contains 800 mg of L-Arginine, it could be strengthened by adding L-Citrulline, Beetroot Extract, Pine Bark Extract or Quercetin.

We are also disappointed by the fact that we were unable to retrieve any information regarding a refund or guarantee. Most leading brands offer a 100% 365-day full guarantee, and this is a staple of a manufacturer which is confident in their product. Since Ultimate Nutrition fails to offer security for their customers, and sees it fit to include possible cintamininats as well as an additive in their blend, are unable to recommend this product.
