What is XYMOGEN Melatonin (Controlled Release)?

XYMOGEN Melatonin (Controlled Release) is a jet lag supplement that claims to adjust the sleep cycle and thus rectify the disorientation and inconvenience of jet lag. The following review will assess the likelihood of this product being the optimal jet lag solution, by not only assessing the ingredients, but the customer service too.

Ingredients

This product’s key active ingredient is Melatonin. Normally a hormone that naturally forms in the human body by the pineal gland, melatonin is used to regulate the body’s cycle of sleep. The synthetic version used in this formula will promote a deeper and more restful sleep while easing jet lag and fighting free radicals – stimulating the antioxidant system of the body. The formula also includes Vitamin B6, which supports the body’s natural synthesis of melatonin and may even enhance dream recall. The formula, although containing popular and effective ingredients, seems to be lacking other effective ingredients such as Chamomile, Ashwagandha, and L-ornithine – which have been known to support healthy sleep patterns and may prevent this product from being as effective as competing brands. This product also lacks a dual-action formula, which ensures that the body receives sleep-inducing melatonin at night as well as supportive substances during the day to deal with the travel stresses that often accompany jet lag. There is no indication if this product is vegan, cruelty-free, or manufactured in a GMP certified facility.

Dosage

This product contains 5 mg of Melatonin which aligns with the range of market standard concentrations. The product uses a biphasic delivery system where 1 mg of melatonin is stored in the coating and the remaining 4 mg sit at the tablet’s core. This allows the product to achieve controlled release as the melatonin is absorbed over a 6-hour period. It is recommended that you take 1 tablet 20  Minutes before bed.

What is the Cost?

This product comes in a 90-capsule bottle, however, it is currently unavailable for purchase on third-party sites as there appears to be a lack of stock. This prevents us from commenting on if the product is affordable or not.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

After significant research, we were unable to find any manufacturer guarantee to support this product or a returns policy to support potential customers. This is concerning as this may showcase a lack of confidence in the efficacy of the product. Furthermore, there are very few customer reviews available online. This does not instill confidence in this product.

Our Final Review of XYMOGEN Melatonin (Controlled Release)

XYMOGEN Melatonin (Controlled Release) contains an accurate dose of melatonin, a key active ingredient that is known to support healthy sleep cycles, regulating jet lag. However, this product is lacking many other ingredients as well as a dual action formula; preventing this product from reaching the level of efficacy attained by competing brands. No product availability, guarantee, or customer reviews are highly concerning. In saying so, we do not recommend this product.
