What Force Factor VolcaNO?
Force Factor has positioned its VolcaNO nitric oxide booster as a “new generation” supplement. We were therefore excited to review this product which is designed to help you get bigger, faster and stronger as quickly as possible.
According to the manufacturer, what differentiates this nitric oxide booster from its “conventional” competitors is that those “old-style” boosters contain only amino acids. This formulation also contains the same amino acids, but these are enhanced, or supplemented, by a special form of creatine HCl called CON-CRET as well as an energy compound.
Ingredients
- Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride)
Nitric Oxide Muscle Matrix
- L-Citrulline Agmapure
- Agmatine Sulfate
- L-Norvaline
- Creatine Strength Complex with Con-cret Creatine HCl; L-Methionine; L-Glycine.
Other ingredients:
Gelatin, silica, Microcrystalline Cellulose; Magnesium Stearate; Titaninium Dioxide; FD&C Red #40 and FD&C Blue #1
L-Citrulline, an amino acid, is the primary nitric oxide booster in this formulation while Agmatine is a by-product of L-arginine, one of the most popular amino acids found in most other nitric oxide boosting supplements used by weightlifters. Force Factor claims it uses only the purest form of L-Citrulline in VolcaNO.
Con-Cret is a new derivative of creatine HCL that is said to deliver fast energy, enabling you to recover quickly between sets, enabling you to do more reps using more weights – which should help you to build more lean muscle.

Our Final Review of Force Factor VolcaNO
There is no doubt that as far as nitric oxide boosting supplements are concerned, Force Factor VolcaNO is a little different in its formulation. It combines three key ingredients – L- citrulline, creatine, and agmatine – which, individually, have been shown to boost nitric oxide levels in the blood and are found in many other competitive products.
VolcaNO also contains Con-Cret, but so do other nitric oxide boosters available on the market. We were unable to establish how much Con-Cret is actually incorporated into what Force Factor calls VolcaNO’s “Creatine Strength Complex”.
Force Factor claims that one of the reasons for the relatively high price of VolcaNO is that it contains only the purest form of L-Citrulline. This might be the case, but we were unable to find any evidence that this will deliver value for money. VolcaNO is expensive, even when compared to other premium nitric oxide boosters on the market.
The question is, does VolcaNO deliver on its lofty promises? For us, the jury is still out.
