What is Source Naturals D-Mannose?

E.Coli is a bacteria that resides in the intestines and is mostly harmless. Contrary to popular belief, E.Coli is an important part of a healthy human intestinal tract. Only when E.Coli sticks to each other and attaches itself to the urinary tract walls does it cause a UTI. There are also several other types of bacteria that cause UTIs but E.Coli accounts for 80% of them. This review is going to take a closer look at Source Naturals D-Mannose. This product is a dietary supplement composed of D-Mannose. D-Mannose is taken as a way to treat and prevent UTIs from occurring. The manufacturer claims that taking this supplement will help support the health of the entire urinary tract. This product does not contain any yeast, dairy or common allergens.

Ingredients

D-Mannose is the only ingredient in this supplement. Each capsule contains 500 mg of D-Mannose and is enclosed in a gelatin capsule.  D-Mannose is a naturally occurring sugar related to glucose, that is commonly found in fruits. It is believed to ward off UTIs by preventing the most common UTI inducing bacteria, E.coli,  from sticking to the urinary tract walls and multiplying. Another theory is that D-Mannose makes it easier for E.Coli to be excreted in urine.

Dosage

Source Naturals recommends taking one capsule twice daily.

If you are under medical supervision, pregnant or nursing you should consult with your healthcare provider before consuming this product.

What is the Cost?

This product is available to purchase on the manufacturer’s website in different amounts per bottle. One 30 capsule bottle is $12.75, one 60 capsule bottle is $23.98 and one 120 capsule bottle is $46.50.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

We were unable to find a manufacturer’s guarantee. We strongly recommend that you should contact the manufacturer’s customer service to inquire about their up to date return policy, should you choose to move forward with this product. Otherwise, if you purchase this supplement and are unsatisfied you may not be able to get your money back.

Our Final Review of Source Naturals D-Mannose

This product appears to be a promising tool that can help you to prevent UTIs from recurring. It comes in easy to take capsules for convenience and the manufacturer offers several bulk purchasing options. However, the bulk purchasing options are limited to a number of capsules you can get in each bottle but they do not offer multiple bottle packages. Furthermore, the manufacturer does not offer a money-back guarantee. This is especially risky because this product is not cheap relative to other D-Mannose supplements that are currently available on the market. Furthermore, the consumer reviews we saw are mostly negative. Consumers claimed that they did not experience any effects after continuously taking this supplement as directed by the manufacturer. Every person will respond differently to a supplement but the majority of users reported that this product does not work. Taking these factors into consideration, you are probably better off purchasing a D-Mannose supplement that has generally positive consumer reviews, good bulk-purchasing packages and discounts and an upstanding manufacturer’s guarantee.
